12 Things & My FREE December Wallpaper Download

1. We are officially seven weeks away! I went Christmas shopping this weekend with my mother in law and she said, "I can't believe you're having a baby next month." Wow. Way to scare a pregnant woman. Even though it's closer to two months away, it's true - Annie B is due to arrive on January 21st. Ready or not.

2. Both of our stats are on track for an on time delivery, but I'm still trying things here and there to keep things moving along. I try to stay active (although hip and pelvis pain has been a lot lately), I've started drinking the raspberry leaf tea that so many mamas have recommended, and I keep hearing good things about evening primrose oil as a supplement. Any truth to that? If you've tried it, let me know!

3. I've gotten all of my out-of-the-house Christmas shopping done! That means everything that I don't have to order online has been purchased and is wrapped under the tree, which is a huge relief to me. I know it's still early, but I'm getting more and more tired every day.

4. There are so many cute clothes coming into the shop every week, and it's kind of breaking my heart because I can't really wear any of them! I may have been able to pull off most pieces a few weeks ago, but at 33 weeks, I think I've officially crossed the line into maternity clothes only. There are so many outfits that I'm looking forward to wearing when I start to figure out where my body settles in post-pregnancy, so I'm thinking of doing a series mostly for my own benefit - stuff I can't wait to wear after Annie.

5. Tanner has a lot of personal projects going on right now that he's just so excited about, and it makes me so happy to watch him get really passionate about anything. Makes me all googly for him all over again.

6. With having a baby in the new year, I'm caught between my love for goal-setting and wanting to set aside any expectations and preconceived notions about what motherhood will look like. Brighton Keller (brightontheday.com) did an amazing planner review that got me inspired to set goals a little differently in the new year. Instead of using my agenda to check things off my to do list (although it is still good for that) I want to try to do a little passion planning in 2019. If you haven't checked out her post or literally any of the other amazing, inspiring content on her site, it's totally worth it.

7. My hair is growing like crazy! Seriously, it's never grown this fast in my life. I just did a seriously major chop in October and it's already longer than it was before going into the salon. But I've been told that I'm going to experience some major hair thinning and loss after labor, so I shouldn't chop it again. Any truth to this?

8. I usually like to be really extra with my Christmas decor, but all this extra baby stuff in my life has given me this sudden urge to purge. So much for getting in the spirit.

9. I never did receive any help from Instagram with recovering my account and all the pregnancy photos I lost. Surprise, surprise. But since starting a new instagram, everyone has been seriously so great to me. I have a lot of retooling on becslynk.com to do to make sure everything redirects to my new account, but I've been thinking about treating myself to a site redesign in the new year. With all the things I'd like to do, I'm thinking I'm better off leaving it to a professional.

10. The only thing we're now missing from our entire house for the baby is a bassinet or cosleeper for our bedroom, since that's where she'll be staying for at least the first few of weeks. I've gotten lots of recommendations about a Pack-n-Play, but they're just way too big! Our master is pretty small.

11. Fingers crossed that Tanner won't read this, but I got him THE MOST of this henley from Old Navy for Christmas. They're his favorite shirt in the world and so cozy I can't help but steal them for myself half the time.
